Cat Vaccinations – the Complete Schedule
Vaccinations are one of the most important things you can do for your cat’s health. They protect your cat against a range of dangerous and potentially fatal diseases.
Basic vaccination schedule for cats:
6-8 weeks: First vaccine against viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia
10-12 weeks: Second dose of the core vaccine
14-16 weeks: Third dose and the rabies vaccine
After that, annual booster vaccinations are given.
Additional vaccines may be recommended depending on your cat’s lifestyle - for example, a feline leukaemia vaccine for cats that go outdoors.
Consult your vet about the most suitable schedule for your cat.
